Private lessons offer one-on-one instruction for ages 5 and up. These lessons are 45 minutes long and can be scheduled in place of a semi-private lesson. To book a private lesson, call 903-237-1270. (See Private / Semi-Private Request Form below)
Cost: $115 for 4 lessons (1 week), $185 for 8 lessons (2 weeks)
This program is designed for swimmers who are in need of smaller instructor-to-student ratios. Each class will have at least 2 students but no more than 3. The class will be 45 minutes per day, Monday through Thursday. One and two week lessons are available. Lessons will be held at the Longview Swim Center and Ingram Pool. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis until all classes are filled. Class space is limited.
Cost: $60 for 4 lessons (1 week), $95 for 8 lessons (2 weeks)
Group lessons are offered for ages 6 months through adults. Lessons are held Monday -Thursday for 2 weeks at both Longview Swim Center and Ingram Pool. Infant & Toddler (ITAP) classes and Preschool Level 1 (PAP1) classes are 35 minutes each day. Preschool Level 2 (PAP2) up through Adult lessons are 45 minutes each day. ITAP classes require an adult (15 years or older) in proper swim attire to be in the water with the child during the entire course.

Must be received by 5:00 PM at the Parks Office on the date of the deadline. Please fax your completed registration form to 903-237-1389. Include Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover number and expiration date.Your confirmation will be sent to the mail or e-mail address you've provided on the form. If you do not receive a confirmation, please call 903-237-1270.

The Parks Office (130 E. Timpson) accepts registration Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. During the summer season, both pools will accept registration Monday - Friday, 2:00-6:00 pm, and Saturdays from 1:00-7:30 pm (Ingram Pool is closed on Friday.)
When you register for Learn to Swim, we depend on your enrollment for a successful class. Please plan your classes carefully. If you must cancel a class, please call 903-237-1270 at least 3 business days before the class begins. You may choose to transfer to another class, or to receive your money back (see policies below.) You will be notified if a class is cancelled due to low enrollment.
Refund requests must be submitted in writing. Forms are available below, at LSC, Ingram, and the Parks Office, or you may email your request to email@example.com. After initial registration and up to 3 days prior to the class start date, a $5 service fee will be assessed. Two days prior to the start of class through the first day, 50% of the class fee is refundable. No refunds will be given after the first day of class. Allow 2 to 3 weeks for processing.
Transfers may only be made before the registration deadline for any class. There is a $5 fee for each transfer unless it meets one of the following conditions:
1. The participant’s instructor recommends that he or she move up or down a level. This normally takes place within the first 2 days of class.
2. The participant completes a course and must repeat it, but is already registered in a later session for a higher level course.
3. The participant completes a course successfully, but is already registered in a later session for the same level course.

Due to our tight scheduling, it is extremely difficult to have make-up days. Our procedure are:
-First rainy day is a Safety Day. Participants will watch videos about water safety and upper levels will watch stroke performance videos.
-Second rainy day will be used to practice and review safety and swimming skills and remaining classes will be extended 5 minutes
-If there are three or more rainy days, class will be made up on Fridays.
Six "PLEAs" for Protection Against Water Illnesses
-PLEASE don't swim when you have diarrhea . . . this is especially important for children in diapers.
-PLEASE don't drink the pool water.
-PLEASE practice good hygiene
-PLEASE take your kids on regular bathroom breaks.
-PLEASE change diapers in a bathroom and not poolside.
-PLEASE wash your child thoroughly (especially the buttocks) with soap and water before swimming.
